Listen deeply.
Treat Gently.
Trust the Body.
A quiet place to begin listening—to your body, and to what it needs.
There is time for this.
Many people arrive here after trying to figure things out on their own—pushing through discomfort, adapting to imbalance, or feeling disconnected from their bodies altogether. If that resonates, you’re not in the wrong place—you’re right on time.
I found my way to this work through a deep respect for the body and a desire to offer care that feels more human. Acupuncture allows for a kind of attention that is often missing in modern healthcare—slow, intentional, and rooted in the understanding that your body is not working against you, but communicating with you.
Meet Dr. Ella McGuirk
My path to acupuncture began with a quiet pull—one I chose to trust before fully understanding it. Over time, that instinct has grown into a practice rooted in deep listening.
When you come in for a treatment, my priority is simple: that you feel heard. Through conversation, gentle observation, and the body itself, I’m paying attention to the full picture of what’s going on beneath the surface.
Dr. Ella holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture (DACM) and Chinese Medicine, a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM), and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Biochemistry. She is nationally licensed through the NCCAOM (Dipl.OM) and licensed in the state of Maine (L.Ac.). She is also certified in Clean Needle Technique through the CCAHM.
This is a space to soften, to feel supported, and to come back to yourself.
While I’m especially drawn to supporting mental and emotional health and women’s health, my work also extends to pain and the many ways the body holds imbalance. Wherever you’re starting from, we meet there.
The cottage is named after a place from my chilhood
A photo of the original cottage where Dr. Ella and her family have spent countless summer days
A small cottage on a pond in Cape Cod—sun-warmed days in the water, rinsing off the sea using the garden hose, reading on the porch as a thunderstorm rolls through, a soft breeze drifting the curtains inside.
It was simple, familiar, and deeply comfortable.
That’s the feeling I hope to offer here.
Values
The principles that guide every visit.
Comfort
A space that feels safe, familiar, and welcoming—where you can fully exhale.
Balance
Helping you find alignment—physically, emotionally, and energetically—in a gentle, holistic way.
Grounding
Creating a space to settle, connect to your body, and feel steady, centered, and supported.
Listening
Care begins with being heard—words, body, and all the subtle signals in between.
There are many ways into this work—each offering an opportunity to slow down, listen, and begin again.
You’re allowed to slow down
